We carry Kollage and addi® knitting needles because we find they both have the highest quality needles, period. It's definitely worth investing in quality needles, especially if you've ever experienced circular needles with bad joins, bamboo needles that split, or other problems with inexpensive needles.
Kollage knitting needles are made with high quality standards in the United States, and originally became known for the Square® shape circular needles and DPN's. Many knitters find that square needles ease strain on wrists and hands while knitting.
Now Kollage also includes a line of traditional round knitting needles branded as SONIX. Sonix are available in both Firm and Soft cables.
Addi® needles and crochet hooks are still handcrafted in Germany by the same family who began manufacturing needlework tools in 1829. While technology and machinery have advanced greatly over the years, it still requires 25 production steps, and a considerable amount of hands-on fabrication, to create the high-quality, German-engineered needles which have set the world standard for circular knitting. In a world where manufacturing is moving to regions with lower production costs and environmental requirements, addi® proudly crafts their products under strict environmental regulations, while also paying their employees a fair wage.
